60, 90 or 120-minute massage: which should you choose?

Massage guides · NDIKANDIÍ

Choosing a massage length means deciding how you would like to use your session. 60 minutes may suit a focused visit; 90 minutes give you more room to combine priorities; 120 minutes allow for a longer, less hurried experience. A longer massage does not guarantee a better result. The technique you choose, your preferences and communication during the session matter too.

NDIKANDIÍ offers 60, 90 and 120-minute options in its Massage Menu. The available combination depends on the technique, city, time slot and schedule.

LengthConsider it if…Decide before booking
60 minutesYou have one main priority or prefer a shorter experience. The area or feeling you want to focus on and your preferred pressure.
90 minutesYou want to combine a main focus with a broader session. What matters most and what can remain secondary.
120 minutesYou enjoy an extended, personalized experience.Whether a long session feels comfortable and how you would like to use the time.

This is a guide to your conversation with the therapist. It does not mean any body area needs a fixed number of minutes, or that a full-body massage must always have one set length.

When 60 minutes may suit you

This can be a comfortable first choice if you are still learning which massage style and pressure you like. It can also work when your request is simple: perhaps you want to focus on an area that feels tense and keep the overall pace calm.

A one-hour session does not have to be intense. Tell us if you prefer lighter pressure when you book or at the start, and speak up if you want an adjustment. If you have unusual pain, new symptoms or a relevant medical condition, tell us before booking. A wellness massage does not replace medical assessment.

When 90 minutes may suit you

Ninety minutes give you a middle option when you want more room than a shorter session. You can name one priority and ask for the remaining time to be used in a way that feels comfortable. For example: “I would like extra attention on my back and shoulders, with some time for general relaxation.”

The benefit here is flexibility in planning. It is not a promise to cover a set number of areas or deliver a stronger health outcome. The actual approach depends on the chosen technique, your comfort and the therapist’s professional judgment during the session.

When 120 minutes may suit you

If you enjoy a longer experience, 120 minutes may give the session a more spacious pace. It can be useful when you have several preferences to discuss without treating body areas as a checklist to finish at all costs.

More time does not mean more pressure or an automatically better massage. Preferring a shorter visit is just as reasonable. Check the Massage Menu to see whether your preferred technique and length are available in your city.

Three questions to help you decide

  1. What is your priority? One area, general relaxation or a mix of both.
  2. How much time would feel comfortable? Choose a length you can enjoy without rushing.
  3. Which technique, city and time do you need? Check the available combinations and current price before continuing.
